The Haven Team
My name is Debra Bell and I would like to welcome you to The Haven, a small piece of heaven on the tranquil shores of
Scotland's beautiful Loch Lomond. My dream for The Haven began many years ago while living and working in the Far
East. My time spent in Hong Kong expanded my mind in so many different directions and gave me a greater understanding of simplicity and balance and how achieving this in our lives can enrich our everyday existence beyond belief. In
Australia I learned to appreciate our natural bounty and began creating exotic lotions and potions made purely from
Mother Natures treasure chest of herbs and plant life.
In Thailand I discovered Reiki and learned the importance of finding beauty within. Our body is so powerful there is
nothing we cannot achieve - sometimes we just need a helping hand. And finally in Bali I found bliss. Here I was
introduced to the wonder of the Natural Spa. In this tropical
Paradise I found sanctuaries full of wonderful aromas, sounds, sights and sensations- retreats where you would go to
be pampered and pummeled, spaces where your senses are overwhelmed by the elements, where you would switch off and
simply be. With these thoughts, feelings and memories in mind I created The Haven.
Whether you are in need of a pampering body treatment, a luxurious beauty boost or simply wish to switch off and
forget the stresses of everyday life, you'll find exactly what you are looking for here at The Haven. I wish you all
you wish for yourself - relax and enjoy.
Lynn Daniels - Salon Manager - The Haven on the Loch
There have been many highlights during my time with the Haven with the most memorable being the occasions when I won the UK Facial Therapist of the Year Award at the British Beauty & Spa Awards ceremonies in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Knowing I have make the Hall of Fame in 2010 is breath-taking and something I will always be tremendously proud of.
In 2009 I was promoted to Salon Manager which has expanded my mind in so many different directions and given me challenges and experiences I would could never have dreamt of. Although I continue to work with clients on a daily basic, my focus now includes training and motivating others in the team to continue to offer our exceptional standards in everything we do.
One of my favourite parts of my work now is mentoring new members of staff and helping them to gain the same levels of satisfaction from their work as I continue to do.
Ailie Houston – Spa Manager - The Haven at the Lodge
I joined The Haven 3 years ago from the Turnberry Hotel in Ayrshire. Since then my feet have hardly touched the ground. In 2009 I was a finalist in the UK Body Therapist of the Year category at the British Beauty and Spa Awards.
We had an amazing evening in London and although I was a little disappointed not to win on this occasion, I was thrilled to have made it to the final 5 out of over 1000 entries. I was also extremely proud to be part of the team that went on to win the Salon of the Year (Scotland and NW) award for that year.
I am now the Spa Manager of our branch at the Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel running a team of 4 very special therapists. I feel blessed to work in this amazing location on a daily basis.
Louise Murray - Therapist – The Haven on the Loch
As the new girl at Balloch I am just finding my feet but love being part of the team here at The Haven. I had been a client for many years before so I already knew the Salon well and I’m pleased to say, it is everything I thought it would be.
Alison Boyd - Spa Therapist – The Haven at the Lodge
I joined the Haven a year ago with the opening of the new Spa in the Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel. I love meeting so many people from different walks of life every day. My days are so varied, one moment I working with a nervous bride - the next helping a stressed out Mum-to-be relax before the baby is born.
Elizabeth Forbes - Spa Therapist – The Haven at the Lodge
Joining the Haven last August was a change of career for me that I had been planning for quite some time. I love working with natural ingredients and any spare time finds me mixing lotions and potions for family and friends to help with all sorts of ailments.
Carra Worsley - Spa Therapist – The Haven at the Lodge
This is only my 2nd month as part of the team here at the Lodge. I moved across from Dundee in February 2010 and the girls are slowly getting used to my accent!
I have many years experience as a Massage therapist and love working with the La Sultane de Saba range. Everything smells gorgeous and is a joy to work with.
